I was nervous before this one!
Real pre-match nerves that I put down to lockdown, waiting around for a later start in the day, and returning to such an amazing venue after so long away. Rookery Hall in Cheshire is a stunning wedding venue and it’s felt like so long since i’ve been here, with the lockdown and everything.

The day started with bridal prep and Clare and her bridesmaids getting ready at her house. I made sure to get lots of photos showing the beautiful details of her Lee Grebenau dress.

The ceremony was in a beautiful wood panelled drawing room which was truly timeless. I discreetly positioned myself and photographed the lovely wedding in a documentary style.

The ceremony rooms and interiors are really beautifully decorated too and it makes for great photos.

As usual, I approached the day by trying to sink into the background as much as possible. I captured the story of the day in a documentary style. Interfering with the running order or getting in the way of the wedding is just not my thing, and i’ve often cringed at other wedding photographers muscling in and disrupting the flow.
