Pippa and Dan at Risley Hall, Derby

Here’s a sneak peek of the awesome wedding I photographed at Risley Hall, Derby last Saturday.

I was associate shooting on behalf of Kathryn Edwards Photography. Due to the lockdowns, Pippa and Dan had to reschedule their wedding and Kathryn, their original photographer, already had a wedding on their new date. She asked me to step in and capture the day for her . This has been a common occurrence during these difficult times and busy periods this summer, with photographers stepping in to cover each other when someone has had covid or has several bookings on the same date. The sense of community between photographers has been amazing and it’s been great to feel so supported during rough times financially and emotionally.

It was an absolute pleasure to photograph Pippa and Dan’s wedding and I found that even though I stepped in last minute, we had a great rapport and I was able to make them feel really relaxed and comfortable. In the below photos, shot by me and edited by Kathryn Edwards Photography, we had a relaxed, fun stroll around the grounds of Risley Hall and got some informal, natural portraits. I was really pleased with the results. I also really like the shots of Pippa during Bridal prep with her bouquet. She looks amazing and it was a real privilege to be there for them.
